Statement of AAB Rector Dr. Uros Lipuscek

The newborn Republic of Kosova is undergoing dramatic changes. Precondition for it’s successful development and European integration are very motivated and highly educated people, especially the young generation. 

 The mission of AAB University is therefore the continued provision of highly qualified professionals in the various fields.

Our primary goals in this direction are the following:

The continued improvement and quality assurance of our educational process. This aims should be achieved with the employment of our own  full time professional staff  as much as possible.

The high sustainable employability of our graduates and relevance of our programs to the Kosova and international labour market.

Values connected to human rights, non-discrimination, gender equality, multi cultural and multi ethnics dialogue, national identity, tradition,  and  respect for Albanian standard language, must be integral part of our educational process.

In order to equip graduates with  specialized knowledge and competencies of vital importance to our society, we should follow the Bologna process o high education.

The respect for European Qualifications Framework for higher education  in  accordance of the Bologna process,  will result in international recognition of degrees issued by AAB University.

Intercultural experiences and multilingual competencies of our graduates  (English courses must become obligatory  for the all Faculties)  will enhance their employability on a European scale and  will contribute to a democratic and tolerant society .

Even as a private University we must open  our doors to a larger group of learners in order to make  higher  education  more equally accessible to all students, regardless to their social and economic background.  .

In order to become part of European  educational system we must  joined European University associations an  enlarge our cooperation and  exchange  of  scholars and students with  the  foreign universities.

Additional   to the  education and teaching,  we have to  promote the research  and applied research at the  university.
 

These are some of my most important goals   we have to achieve  in the next three years term. By then we have to become the top academic institution not only  in Kosova but in the whole western Balkan area. I count on your support.
